Primary Objectives Of The Event

What: Pigment to Pen under Chromatic Subtext | रंगार्थ was an open writing and reading session centred around three colours — pink, grey, and brown. Participants were invited to bring pre-written pieces or write in the moment, and share poetry, prose, or fragments shaped by their own interpretations of the colours. The session functioned as a shared space for reading, listening, and reflective dialogue, without a fixed format or guided prompts.

Why: The session aimed to explore colour as a lens for interpreting lived experience — personal, social, and political. By engaging with pink, grey, and brown, the gathering encouraged participants to reflect on softness, uncertainty, memory, identity, and context in their own ways. The open format allowed multiple perspectives to coexist, creating a space where language, silence, and interpretation could collectively shape the conversation.

Official Statement From The Organizers

This edition of Pigment to Pen unfolded as a quiet, participant-led gathering shaped by readings, pauses, and attentive listening. Working within the ongoing theme Chromatic Subtext | रंगार्थ, the session engaged with pink, grey, and brown as shared reference points, allowing individual interpretations to surface through poetry, prose, and reflective fragments.

The room moved fluidly between reading and silence, with participants choosing how they wished to engage — by sharing their work, bringing previously written pieces, or simply being present. The absence of a fixed structure allowed the space to evolve organically, with each contribution adding to a layered and collective atmosphere.

This session continued to strengthen Pigment to Pen as a space for thoughtful exchange, where language becomes a medium for observation, reflection, and dialogue, shaped by the people who gather and the perspectives they bring.
