Urban Sketchers Raipur Sessions

Urban Sketchers Raipur Sessions

Collection Overview

From May 22, 2022, the Urban Sketchers Community — Raipur Chapter — has been doing live sketching across the city of Raipur. Founded by Roshni Sharma, Sayali Khandwekar, and Shreya Dhruw, the community gathers every Sunday to sketch the city one location at a time. Their drawings, along with each artist's personal observations, tell the story of the surroundings and the places we live in and belong to. Their sketches are a testament to passion, and a living record of the times and places of Raipur.

This collection is our sincere attempt to make sure this community and it's efforts are not lost or forgotten. The Chhattisgarh Archival Project is working in collaboration with the Urban Sketchers Raipur community to build an open, organised archives of this community sessions.
